Hi there, WOW, where in the heck did September go?

Let see:

I went on a small family trip,my 3 girls and son to Colchester Il. It is a small town where my dad grew up. We use to down there every Labor day weekend, and have continued since his passing 4 years ago. WE left on 8/28, drove for 8 freaking hours. Stayed, visited with all of the relatives, and left on Monday 9/1, took 8 hours to drive home, then school started on Tuesday 9/2, John forgot to get school supplies, so we were out at Walmart until the wee hours of the morning with the rest of the stupid parents who forgot!! Anyway, I got my hair did on 9/2, while the kids were in school and the next morning at 5am, we were on our way to MSP airport, for a plane ride to HAWAII!!!!! WE arrived In Pheonix 3 hours later, then 1 hour later were on our way to Hawaii, Arrived about 2:45pm Hawaii time which is 5 hours earlier than Mn time. I was so super exhausted!! John's parents, and his 2 sisters and their husbands were there too. I scored FREE hotel rooms at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. one for John and I, and the other for his younger sister, WE spent so much family time!! It was GREAT!! WE were there for 7 glorious days. I sure didn't want to come home!! Best of all, is my last day of work was 8/28 and I didn't have to go back to work until 9/15. Yep, I missed the whole RNC CONVENTION!!!! Apparently my assistant at work said that everyone was "hating" on me cause i was the only one who was able to take vacation during this time. I was like, well, I did getit approved back in March. All of my work was done the week prior to. I was busy as heck!!! I made sure my team was covered and off I went!! I think I should have some clout, my god, I've been there for 16 years!!!!!! I have a GREAT assistant who did an outstanding job while I was away and really I had no worries at all!!! Since I have been back, I have been SWAMPED!! THAT IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TAKE TIME OFF!! I FEEL LIKE I AM READY FOR ANOTHER VACATION!!!

The following weekend, 9/20, we drove to Alexandria Mn, which is about 2 hours away, my oldest nephew was getting married, we stayed in this really nice suite hotel, Employee rate at $29.00!! SCORE again for me!! Anyway, the last wedding I was at (besides my own) was 10 years ago, my little sister got married, (now is getting a divorce!), Anyway, it was cool to have the whole family together. Hi there, my husband and I just got back from Hawaii!! WE had a blast!! Bummer that I have to go back to work on Monday!! I have been off since 8/28. I had a small family trip in Colchester Il. From 8/28-9/2, then we left on 9/3 for Hawaii, Man oh man, talk about stressfull and expensive for 2 trips back to back like that!!

now I am in the poor house!!

thank god my rooms in Hawaii was FREE, everything else was so expensive, a pack of ciggs was like $7.50!!!!
Guess who didn't bring enough smokes with and had to buy some Hawiian ciggs???

Stupid me!!

Oh my goodness, it's been a while, lets see, where to start....
I was off work from 6/28-7/7. It was FANTASTIC TO STAY HOME!! I only had 2 things to do on all the days I was off, so it was GREAT to not wear make up and more importanlty no NYLONS!!

Hi, me again, been busy at work, Its tuff when your gone for a week, I swear to god, last week just wizzed right by me. Before I knew it, Friday was here. I was sad on Friday, as it was my boss's last day, she relocated to San Diego!! THE SAME FREAKING TOWN I'M TRYING TO GO TO!!! She was the BEST boss ever. Funny that she is like 20 years younger than me, but she was so supportive, and when ever I had any issues with other mgmt, she was right there, she always had my back. She was always giving me accomplishments, and she even nominated me for the 2nd quarter committment award. (This is like a managers award for the month) Anyway, I got $200.00 a nice wall plaque, and dinner for 2 in the hotel restaurant. Cool beans.

I'm happy for her to be in her position, she deserves it. I mean, she really has worked her A$$ off to get where she is. She deserves a promotion. I only wish I would get one too.

I have mixed emotions, I am sad to be going home, but glad to be able to see my kids and my dog!!. It has been a FUN FILLED 7 DAYS!! We walked so much the first 4 days, then kind of stayed low key for the next 3, I had my conference which started with a reception on Tuesday then meetings for all day Wed, Thur and ending at 2pm on Friday. Each night, we closed down the bar (with the exception of Friday). Man, oh Man, I am way to old for this!! I swear to god, all these people just drink, and drink and drink and drink!! I'm lucky if I had 4 hours of sleep each night!. I can't wait to get home to rest!! I only drank on the first night, (Tuesday), I usually do not drink, and when I do, oooohh lord help me!! Someone decided we all needed to take shots, I kept saying, "I can't do shots, I'm a mother!!". Well that didn't work, somehow, I did 3 shots, plus had about 8 rum and diet cokes. I felt real bad the next day, so I didn't drink at all. I did go to the bar though, I had water and coffee! The next night (Thursday), we went on a 3 hour harbor cruise, that was cool!! I only had 1 beer there, then again, back at the bar, but only had 2 beer's there, we went to a friends room, and had some of her wine, (I am not a wine drinker) and it was warm as hell!, so finally around 3am, we went back to our rooms, and went to sleep. It was so hard to get up at 7am on Friday!!, Anway, on Thursday, we had a vendor fair, and we were able to win prizes, I soooooooooooo wanted the iphone or the IBM laptop, but I did win, 2 free hotel nights (anywhere in the USA) with some limitations, on the big box hotels, at first, I was like, WTF, I work at a hotel in a management position, I can stay free anywhere I like, or at $29.00 per night, but then, I was like, well actually, employee reservations are limited due to availability, and these are for non employee reservations, so I can stay pretty much when ever I want, and thought, ok, thats cool!! I mean, dont' get me wrong, I'm grateful, but again, like I said, the iphone and or the laptop would have been nice, So my husband and I will be making a trip to NEW YORK!! to use those 2 free nights, I am going to coordinate it so I can stay at the same hotel for 4-5 nights, and the other nights, I will pay the 29.00 per night. Or maybe I will be lucky and get it all for free!! That would ROCK!! I have been at my current job for 16 years and it is about time I take advantage of those perks!! We are going to Hawaii in September and my boss hooked me up with FREE rooms!! 2 rooms for 7 days!!, one of the guys from my conference works there, and told me to send him an e-mail with my dates, and he will get me a good room, I said, well you know, my rooms are free, I would sleep in the basement if Ihad to, cause I'm saving sooooooooooooooo much money!! To bad we already made our air reservations, That would have been nice to be able to use the extra 2 free nights there, but we got a GREAT deal on air fare, we are paying $640.00 each for 7 days, we were originally going to go in June, but the air was like $1,000 each, way to much money!! plus in June, we were staying at a different hotel which was $29.00 each, so we really got a GREAT deal to go in September where the rooms are free, and at a much nicer larger hotel and the air isn't so much!! Of course, I am a bit worried about money, as my kids and I and my sisters and their kids take an annual vacation to visit relatives in a small town of Colchester IL. we are going there from 8/30-9/2, then I leave on 9/3 for Hawaii. When we are in Il, I of course will be funding the hotel, food, and gas, (We drive there, its about an 8 hour drive), so I am hoping to god, I have money to spend in Hawaii, as my kids seem to want to buy everything and expect me to fund it!! Oh well, we wont' need much. I hope!!

ok, gotta run, we leave in 3 hours, SAD SAD SAD SAD!! bye Boston, you are a GREAT town!! If anyone from my job ask's me what I learned at the conference, I know the first thing I will say is:
Do not drink each night, close the bar and expect to get up and be functional at 7am the next day!!

Hi, all,
We are having such a NICE time, although, I am beat!! I have never walked to much in my entire life!! It is kind of fun though, Today we went to the New England Aquarium, (Sorry, to tired to spell check). Anyway, we saw Monsters of the Sea in 3d at the Imax theatre, That was FREAKY!!! I have never seen anything in 3d before, I felt like I could just reach out and grab things as they were flying right by my head!! I love the subway system here to. It is so neat, My little town in Mn, is sooooooooooo far behind the times. we have 1 lightrail, I am amazed at Boston, and Chicago, that seems to have these high tech things, It's kind of interesting, to know that these subway tunnels have been around for years, yet they still work!! It must cost the city and people (taxes) so much money to keep the tracks and trains in tip top shape. But my god, what a way to get around!! Thank god we bought an un-limed all you can ride pass for $15.00, it is good for 7 days, We more than got our moneys worth, as I figured out had we not purchsed the pass, we would have spent around 25.00 already!! So that was a GREAT buy. I am trying to find souviners to take home, but my GOD, THEY ARE SO FREAKING EXPENSIVE!! I have 4 kids, plus 3 sisters, and their kids, plus my staff which consists of 15 people. I am not a rich woman!! I did manage to find some really cool shells on the Charles River. They are kind of cool. And they were FREE. I hope to find a "reasonable priced" shop soon.

Hi all, we arrived in Boston yesturday around 11am, Had to wait until 3pm to check in, I hate that, I know they have rooms ready earlier and still, we had to wait, in fact, some people came in ater us, and it was a bit of a shock, that they got to check in!! I am an employee, so that is probably why, but darn it, you gotta take care of your own too!!. I always let people check in early, heck if it was 6am, I would!!

Anyway, we walked around and around and around and found the JFK library, we took a tour which was only $10.00 each, it was so cool!! I loved it!! He actually died when I was a month old, so I never knew anything about him except what I read in school, but my goodness, he was a Great guy!! Anyway, I know my mother LOVED him and Jackie, so I took loads of pictures for her to see. I am going to post some on my space, I'm not sure how to add this here, but my myspace name is cyndieeylouwho. I will post them later, but go ahead and have alook see!!

Anyway, we are going downtown Boston today, we have a tour scheduled for 3pm, but the place we are going to is not far from China town, I am so stoked!! I have only been to one china town and that was in San Francisco, I hope this one is cool!!

Ok, so we had a GREAT night!! (Saturday) was our 2nd wedding anniversary, We went to Mystic Lake Casino. (This is about 45 min away). Anyway, they had this sweet deal $179.00 per night which included a suite, dinner for 2 and breakfast for 2, chocolates in the room, valet parking and a late check out. It was cool. I have never been to the casino/hotel before, it was fun, I brought $160.00 to gamble with, (not much!), I was down to my last $20.00 and won 400.00!! Then, I played again, and won 300.00 more. So, in all, I won 700.00!! If you minus the 160.00 or so I lost, it still comes up to over 500.00!! COOL BEANS!! NOW I CAN MAKE MY CAR PAYMENT THAT WAS DUE ON 5/2!. I KNOW, YOUR ALL SAYING, YOU SHOULD HAVE PAID YOUR CAR PAYMENT INSTEAD OF GOING TO THE HOTEL, BUT MY GOD PEOPLE, YOU GOTTA HAVE SOME FUN IN YOUR LIFE TOO!! BESIDES,I GET PAID ON FRIDAY, SO I WAS GOING TO PAY IT THEN!! And my husband paid for the hotel!!

On another note, We leave on Saturday for 1 whole freaking week to Boston, I have an annual conference, so I pay for NOTHING!!!!! Well, I do pay for 3 nights of a hotel, but I only pay $29.00 per night, not bad. The conference is from 5/28-5/30, but since the airfare is cheaper to fly sat to sat, my job is picking up that tab, and the conference dates the hotel is like $150.00 per night, my job picks up that tab too, as well as the registration fee ($250.00), The whole trip cost's almost $1,000.00 but like I said, my job pays for that. Even any food/coffee etc, they pay for. And since it is work related, I get paid for all 5 of the work days that I will be gone. (I'm on salary, so its not like I get ot or anything). I like the fact that it is a mini vacation, and I get it paid for and still get paid for working!! yoo hoo for me!! Anyway, Ihave never been to Boston before and I am super excited, Last year, our conference was in San Diego, I have family there, so we made a 10 day trip out of that, it was super cool! I love San Diego. I am applying for a job out there, Wish me luck!! The year before that, our conference was in San Antonio, that was a cool place, then before that, Chicago, cool, and the very first one was in San Francisco. I LOVE, LOVE LOVE THAT PLACE!! ANOTHER COOL THING, IS IT IS A NICE TREAT TO BE ABLE TO SEE MY WORK FRIENDS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD. My favorties are located in: Chicago, San Francisco, La, San Diego and Florida. We have so much fun when we are together, And we really do LEARN from each other!! My husband is going with me as well. (He and I work for the same company and he can go to the conference too, but thinks it is way to boring). But it will be nice for him and I to have US time! I only hope and pray my kids don't burn the house down while we are gone, My son is 23, and my oldest daughter is 18 1/2, they will be in charge, My son SHOULD be old enough to watch his younger sisters (13 and 9), but sometimes, he acts like he is 15!! I always warn him that I have the neighbors watching and will report to me ASAp if anything happens out of the ordinary like having his friends over for a drunk feast!! I don't mind when he has friends over, but if they want to get drunk, they can do that somewhere else, besides some of his friends are under 21, and I'm sorry, If I'm going to jail, its because of something I DID, not some underage kid!! Anyway, My son was in charge when we went to Hawaii 2 years ago to get married, and I'm a nice mom, I pay him!! Even though he lives with me. I figure, they are my kids, my responsibility, and I would have to pay a babysitter too. I pay when I return though, so I know he will take care of them. When we went to Hawaii, it was a 10 day trip, He only had the girls for 7 days, as my sister had them for 3, but I paid him and his girlfriend at the time $250.00 EACH, they were like seeing dollar signs when I told them I would pay them that. I know it doesnt sound like much, but to them, it was a million bucks! All they had to do, was get them up in the morning for school, make dinner for them, clean, and that was it, no washing of clothes, no takign them anywhere, They were in school for like 7 hours, then up for 5 hours after school, then to bed, so it wasn't like they really, really had to do much. Besides, I would call each morning, to make sure they were up which was a bitch, as Hawaii is 5 hours earlier than MN, so I would set my alarm for 2am to call home to get them p at 7am MN time, That sucked big time!! I also make sure the frige is stocked, and I stash money in several areas around the house in case they need anything extra. I tell them on a daily basis where each stash is, (usaully in 25-30 increments). One year, my Husband I went to San Digo, that was when my son was in a real party mode, I didn't tell him we were leaving or where we were going until we were at the airport, I was so afraid he was going to plan some party or something, So when I called him, He was like, why do you do that? Its not like I have money for a party. And I said, no, but your friends might!We were only gone for like 4 days, so it wasn't a big deal, I did tell my older daughter, and todl her NOT to tell him, that I would call him from the airport.
So all, please keep your fingers crossed for me that my kids BEHAVE WHEN WE ARE GONE FOR 1 WHOLE WEEK!!

Wow, I am so lucky, look what I got:

1. My son James got me a cool Alicia Keys CD.(its really a card, that you download directly to your computer, and to itunes. And a card, I think this is the first card he ever bought me, About time, as he is almost 24!!

2. My daughter Savannah, bought me a cool little angel that has the words: a mother is an angel in disguise. she also made me the cutest 2 cards. Oh, yeah, and also some cute earrings.

3. My daughter Cassandra, bought me Maria Carey's greatest hits cd and a cute card and she wrote a poem for me.

4. My daughter Sarah-Elizabeth wrote a wonderful poem and got me a NICE card.

5. My husband John, bought me 2 pretty outdoor plants, 2 necklaces and a box of atkins bars(yep, I'm on the low carb diet!) the dvd ps, I love you.

John also made me this FANTASTIC BREAKFAST!!

Then we went to my moms, took her to the plant store, and I spent a whopping $218.00 on her, she was mad that I didnt' let her buy anything, I said, well, you can make me dinner one night. I usually do not spend much on her, but she is my momma!!

on another note, I hate this lo carb diet!! I want to eat some freaking chocolate candy NOW!!! I want, cakes, and pies and ice cream, and you want to know the funniest thing? I never even eat those things, but now that I CAN'T HAVE THEM, I MUST HAVE THEM!! BUT I WILL BE STRONG!!
THANK GOD FOR CIGARETTS!! CAUSE I WOULD DIE FOR SURE WITHOUT THEM!!

Hi, me again, had a GREAT weekend, although it didnot start out that way, I had friday off to take 2 of my daughters to the dentist. I had to get up early though, as my husband John left to take the bus. I had to get the 2 girls up, get them ready and dropped off my little one (Savannah), I had intentions of going back to bed, but it never happened, THANK YOU INTERNET!!! Anyway, when Savannah got home from school, she was sick, she slept for like 2 hours, I should have known something was up, cause ever since she was born, she only took like 10 freaking minute cat naps. Anyway, she kept saying her tooth hurt (she didn't go to the dentist, but went 2 weeks ago and got a clean bill of health!!). Anyway, I gave her some kid medicine, she layed down again, and when she woke up, her cheek was really swollen, she looked kind of like a stuffed little pig face!!. Anyway, I got concerned as this wasn't normal for an 8 year old, so I called my clinic after hours, they were concerned too, so advised me to take her into the ER. Of course, I forgot I had changed my insurance and the freaking co pay was $150.00. Anyway, I wasn't sure if it was health related or dental, so at 1130pm, off we went to ER, now mind you, this was a friday night and guess what, the hospital was FREAKING BUSY!! Drunk ass people getting into fights and stuff, so anyway, 2 hours later, we were told that she had a piece of popcorn shell stuck in her tooth that had gotten infected, poor little girl, I was shocked to hear the doctor say he was going to give her tylenol with codeine, I mean, shit, she is only 8 years old!,Anyway, he also gave her penicilian (Sorry I know I spelled it wrong). So we got home at like 3am!!. When she woke up the next day, her swelling got worse, her eye looked like someone socked her!!, she had wanted to go bowling, but was afraid that people would look at her, so we went to a movie instead, it was fun, but she was so tired!!, we ended up going bowling tonight, it was fun, she is finally starting to look better, but she doesn't want to go to school tomorrow, cause she still has swelling. Poor little girl, she is so self concious, I have no idea why!!, She gets real offended if she does anything funny and if people laugh at her. She has always been so sensitive.

ok, I'm going to bed now, so much for the nice relaxing 3 day weekend, It was nice to spend time with the kids too. Oh yeah, the movie theater was a trip, I will post later,as this is soo long

Oh my freaking goodness, what a GREAT day Mn had!! Our high today was 69 degrees, I finally got my wish!! Here I sit on my deck at my patio table, I got me, my ciggs, my coffe and my computer!! My favorite 3 C's in life, actually 4 if you count me (Cindy). I love getting up early on weekends in the summer and just sitting outside, It is so nice and quiet, no one is up cept me and my dog Miyah, Although, I usually don't let her out much when the sun is shining, she is a collie and has a lot of fur, so I don't want her to over heat, plus, she keeps running over my cord (laptop) and it almost falls on the deck, so I let her run around a bit, then she goes back in the house, She is also a barker!! I feel like the neighbors will have a "cow" if she barks so much, so I usually bring her in if she will not be quiet!! She is still a puppy, although she is a big cow, she is about 65 pounds, I love her so much!! She really is a big baby!! A collie (Oh, look at that, another "c". ) is such a nice family dog!! I ish we had a fenced in yard, oh my the fun she would have, (although she would really bark her head off!). When we put her on a long leash, she pretty much has the run of the yard, (WE have a HUGE yard), but she cries when we are not down there with her, so needless to say, she isn't in the yard much, I dont' have any lawn furniture, we bought the patio table with 6 chairs and a huge umbrella, 2 years ago, and with tax it was like over $1200.00. I do not even have anything close to that, so the yard is just naked!! I have been skimming through craigs list to see if anyone is selling any of their old patio stuff, I did find which I thought to be a good deal, a table/6 chairs and the table has a fire pit in it, it was only $300.00. But my husband (pain the butt) (Not really), said, we don't need it, if we want, we can just carry the chairs down, I'm like, yeah, really!! just like the chair you took down last year, and it's still down there!! WE have a split level, so when I refer to upstairs, it is because our deck is off of the dining room and of course, their is a set of stairs leading down to the yard, I really find it hard to beleive that he would carry these cast iron heavy ass chairs up and down those stairs!! Although, he is a GREAT guy and I love him to death, I know him too!!
ok, gotta run, gotta watch my tv shows now.

Hi Friends, How is everyone today? I am good, THANKING GOD FOR SATURDAY!! I work part time every other weekend for my sister, she owns a dry cleaner and she pays me in cash, it's not hard work but damn, it was SUPER BUSY TODAY!!!!!! Anyway, I am looking forward to being off tomorrow!! YEAH FOR ME!!

I am going to slee till like noon, get up, go potty, then go back to bed. I am so tired!! It has been a week from hell!!, I am really looking forward to next weekend!! Dang, I got 7 days to go!!, Acually, I am only working days this week, so it will be a nice 3 day freaking weekend!!

When is this freaking cold going to end? For Gods sakes, it is almost the middle of ApRIL!!!! I had to work today, (sucks to have to work on a freaking SUNDAY!!) But I only worked for 4 hours, and then I went out to eat, and then took a long a$$ nap!! I love naps, they are so good, my husband said I should just take a 1/2 hour nap, and I'm like, yeah right, no pussy footing around for me, my naps last like 2-3 hours!! So here I sit, doing nothing, waiting for my tv shows to be on (darn writers strike), and washing clothes,

yeah, that is my boring life!!

OK, I Have a HUGE issue with this!! It is the middle of APRIL (Almost). And according to the Weather guy, we are to get 5-7 inches of snow.

Wow!! I'm posting twice in the same week!! Hrd to beleive!!!!
It is so freakign cold here today, I'm telling you, living in Mn is enough to drive anyone to DRINK!!!!
Just kidding!! I do HATE THE SNOW THOUGH!! AND THE COLD.

I have been thinking of moving to San Diego Ca, My husband is from there, and his family still lives there, but it is so FREAKING expensive!! My house here cost us $250,000, we would be looking at twice if not triple in San Diego for the same, (We have 5 bedroom, 3 bath split level with 2 fireplaces, 2 family rooms and a hugh A$$ big yard,)
Anywhoo, if we were to move, I would of course have to tranfer with my current employement as then they would pay me the relocation cost. Cause I'm quite sure, all of my 4 kids would want to move with me, even though my son is going to be 24 this year (James) and my daughter Sarah will be 19,I can't beleive they are still here with me, when I turned 18, I couldn't wait to get the F out!! I must be such a "cool momma"!! That's why they never leave!!

Anyway, I got me this plan, if I were to transfer, John would stay here, to get the house up for sale, which of course would take mmm, 4-6 months, then, I would just stay with his parents (they are 75 and 77),and of course would need me their lovely daughter in law to help them out!0 so, then, by the time John would get the house sold, we could have saved money or won the lottery so then we could afford to buy a home in San Diego!!

Crazy huh? Well, we gotta be alitle crazy to enjoy this life!!

my name is listed under Cindy Lou Who!!!!. So please do add me, cause I'm kind of stupid (Hey at least I can admit it!!) Anyway, I really do not know how to add people to LJ, and only know how to friend people on My space when they request it. I guess I am just getting way to old. Acutally, even though I am 44, I have always been a "kid" at heart. I certanly do not act like I am 44, half the time, I act like I am 20!! Perhaps that will keep me young huh?
